Accounts Executive – Jaipur Office

Slate Accounts, one of Australia’s largest bookkeeping firms, is building a team in India to help it meet the growing demand for high quality, outsourced accounts services. You’ll be part of an exciting and growing business using the latest in cloud and automation technologies in this rapidly evolving industry. With great support from the team in Australia and well developed systems and processes already in place, you’ll be responsible for providing a broad range of accounting, general ledger management and reporting services to a wide range of Australian businesses.

About the role:

This role is responsible for providing a broad range of accounting services to clients and working with your manager to deliver real value. While there will always be someone to go to for help, you will work autonomously to manage your own time and deliverables. You will be required to:

  • maintain the accounts of a group of clients
  • manage your own schedule and coordinate your clients
  • follow Slate's processes, and help improve them
  • manage queries and requests from your clients, their staff, suppliers and customers
  • work either full time, or at least 30 hours a week part time in Slate Accounts offices in Jaipur.

About you:

You are energetic and tech savvy with at least 3 years experience in a role or articleship where you were responsible for the accounts related processes and general ledger of a mid sized business or businesses. You have a sound knowledge of a leading accounting package comparable to international packages such as Sage, Quickbooks, Xero, Microsoft Dynamics GP, SAP BusinessOne, Sage 300/X3 or NetSuite. You will be a confident user of Excel.

You must be highly organised and comfortable with continuous challenge and development. You enjoy providing a professional and responsive service to a varied client group of small and medium businesses. You have solid written and verbal communication skills and the ability to discuss and resolve problems and complaints.

You will have an accounting degree or can demonstrate equivalent knowledge gained through experience.
